... More than basic but such a cool spot, happy time again!

Dominica is not easy to backpack but I got lucky and I didn't regret choosing this one. The island remains untouched and is beautiful, actually the one I preferred in all the Caribbean, keep that in mind readers! ;)

OK, next! Let's meet Damien the French guy again. Dominica doesn't really have marinas so I didn't try to hard to find sailing boats, knowing that my ferry ticket was bought anyway...

An hour later, the four of us met back at the cruise ...

... headed back to the island invigorated. We stopped to pick up snorkeling supplies and lunch, and then went to the champagne coast to see the coral reef. The coast gets its name from the bubbles that form on the surface of the water from underground volcanic activity. We got back to the port just in time to take one of the last tender boats back to the ship, and we sailed away from Dominica in the afternoon towards our final stop: Port Everglades, ...

... to tell the owner that he sent us. Well, once we got inside we were almost instantly sent out because we clearly weren’t from Dominica. But we told him about George and he wearily let us stay but was extremely skeptical, and boy am I glad we got to stay! We sat at the bar and were told to pick a fish that was freshly caught that day. I for one have never experienced anything like this before, but I picked up the spear he gave me and stabbed a random snapper and ...
