... More than basic but such a cool spot, happy time again!

Dominica is not easy to backpack but I got lucky and I didn't regret choosing this one. The island remains untouched and is beautiful, actually the one I preferred in all the Caribbean, keep that in mind readers! ;)

OK, next! Let's meet Damien the French guy again. Dominica doesn't really have marinas so I didn't try to hard to find sailing boats, knowing that my ferry ticket was bought anyway...

Showed that to Doug when I returned to the cabin and I looked at Lemon Laptop, turned it on and noticed that it was still at the troubleshooting page. Saw that there were no bars on the icon – it may have had a skull and cross bones over them for all I know - but it wasn’t working. I think some of it was due to there not being a cruise ship in port, so many vendors weren't out and we got unwanted attention from those that were. The weather turned quite hot as well - Roseau is in a rain shadow, with most rain falling on the east side of the island due to the mountains, and the climate was more arid and hot. An hour later, the four of us met back at the cruise ...

We finally thought it was time to move on from Portsmouth and head for Roseau. Roseau is the other bay on the Leeward side of Southern Dominica.

When we were setting anchor, we see a dinghy speeding up to us, and to our surprise it was our friends Barry and Pru from SV Good to Go whom we had become good friends with in St. Maarten. They also introduced us to Bill, with whom we would bump into down the line in St. Lucia also.

We soon caught up with them, and ...

... just drizzling, but pouring rain (think flash flood). So we started on a path but Ninja Man had another plan and way of getting there. We hiked about an hour on no path, sliding in mud, climbing rocks, scaling walls, crossing rivers more than waist high, everything you can think of we did, all of it being in the pouring rain. IT WAS AWSOME! I love stuff like this, I may like to look girly but I love being in nature, getting dirty, and being human; it reminded me of a hike ...
