    ... and bought freshly-baked baguette, brioche and pain au chocolat for breakfast which was so cool! Apparently the van run started a few years ago when the boulangerie in Gigny closed down. We made it to Chablis for the last hour of the market and were not disappointed. Neither by the views of rows of vines on entering the village and pretty flower boxes planted up along the river, nor by the quality and variety of produce at the market. ...

    ... some fresh baguette that was so hot he could barley hold onto it! The afternoon started with another gourmet lunch on the boat including 2 more outstanding cheeses. Oh my!     Tis Bastille Day and the French are celebrating Madame Guillotine

    Every one arrived in one piece and it was grand to catch up again. Everyone looked well, Philip like Russel Crowe with his 5 O'Clock shadow, Sophie as sprightly as only a 13 year old can be, seeing nothing but her I phone, Sheila with her lovely new physcodelic cane looking like Madam McCarthy.

    We went down the road to a little Bistro to have French Onion soup - not the best ...
