as looking out the window we could see the wings were covered in ice. Not really conducive to safe flight! However they had a solution to this - we went
through a plane wash on our way to take off - yep trucks came out with big
sprays on them and washed the wings and tail down with antifreeze, definitely
not something we need to worry about in Australia!

This city was heavily destroyed by the Germans but rebuilt thankfully after WW2 with a lot of help from America. However a lot of gothic architecture and manuscripts were destroyed.

... Grote Markt. On the way we stopped at the best chocolate bar in the world. A nice warm hot chocolate and we were back on track.

At the Grote Markt we went in the cathedral, passed the townhall to De Schelde to discover the beautiful view of the blood of Antwerp.
