We found a very local restaurant on the way back and my spinach gnocchi was devine. We got completely lost on our walk home and arrived back late and tired but happy with ...

    An Unexpected Gem

... to the historic arena, locked up the gear and
started to stroll. We had a coffee in a pavement café in front of
the arena, and wandered down the shopping streets until we came

a lovely day again. We took our time looking in the shops and
stopping for a couple of beers in a tiny bar. Jayne bought me a
magnificent Fossil watch in one of the shops. We walked from one end
of the town and back again, taking in ...

scale of that which we see in the Solent and the boat was soon
rocking from foil to foil criss-crossing the lake from town to town.
Our first stop of was Malchesine on the eastern coast. We discovered
as with all the places on the lake, that they were pleasant villages
on the steep hill sides of the lake, full of charm, narrow streets
and passages but swamped with tourism. We stayed for a spell,
wandered, drank beer and wandered some more. A car ...
