    The street called Guiha Lu, is toward the river end and it curves to intersect Diecielu.

    At the foot of the ladder, by the river is an open area with a large vendors hawking tourist things. There are also rather nice riverside hotels. Across the top ladder is a major street (Pantao Rd) with many Hotels.

    ... spring rolls. Unbelievably delicious. The stall says Japanese people are unwelcome though which is a bit weird. Back at the hostel I chilled on the roof top with a Canadian and and Israeli. The view was STUNNING. All the surrounding mountains are illuminated with some sort of light, and then you can see the coloured lights advertising the various clubs that are in the small town (there seem to be a lot!).     ... bamboo over us and the crickets in the background, good thing too as during the day we went white water rafting. I was ill with a cold the day before and a lovely Buddhist brought me some root ginger, which pretty much knocked out on the head- not that I'm totally endorsing Chinese medicine! Have made plans to climb one of China's four sacred Buddhist mountains after the camp is over, spending far too much time dreaming about that and not enough time lesson planning...
