Sleepy towns
Sunday morning we awoke with an extra hour up our sleeves, daylight savings had ended and we wound the clocks back which hopefully means the sun will come up at a decent hour!! The Long Trip Home.....
... early and either eat quickly or perhaps make up a small lunch to take with me to the airport. However, that idea didn’t work out too well, as the girl working the breakfast room decided to “sleep in” on that particular morning so there was no breakfast for anyone. One guest was very upset by that, and told the Desk Clerk “I need my breakfast and I want it NOW”. The Desk Clerk was able to provide a cup of coffee and ...
Up to date, finally!
... and comedy show night. The dinner was at Wayne Gretsky’s restaurant, who is like the Donald Bradman of Canadian hockey (except that he’s still alive!). He even has his own wine range! The show was at Second City, which is a popular comedy club next door. The show was mainly skits with a bit of improv at the end. It was pretty funny, but I think I’m picky with my live comedy! Lots of other people enjoyed it, though.

The Process Starts......
... book any of my rail trips in Italy? Some savings are possible, but that means to committing to a specific train and a specific departure time. If I miss that train, I’ll be forced to buy another ticket at full fare. As on past occasions, I’d prefer to buy tickets when I arrive there, as that provides a bit more flexibility.
Now it’s just a matter of waiting, which is often the most difficult part.
