    The mountain section of Utah that we just came through on route 89 reminded me a lot of Colorado; very picturesque, very beautiful.

    Logan Utah is a picturesque town. As you leave the mountain you pass the campus of Utah State University which looks down over the town of Logan.

    ... reminded me a bit ofthe Outer Banks, NC, without the ocean.

    It's also clear, based on the types of properties and houses in this area that folks that have money to spend live here. The hillside houses that overlooked the lake and waterfront housing and stores were rustically gorgeous in their redwood log designs.

    I took moon for a swim when we arrived Sunday and I spent most of Monday fixing some issues with the RV, cleaning and laundry so not much time to explore. (Yes, not everything is fun being on the road for 3 months). Bear lake is right on the northern border of Utah and Idaho. I'm staying in Utah but traveled over to Idaho today to visit the Minnetonka caves. Discovered in 1909 and not developed ...

    We were at the lake from July 2nd to October 10th.

    Except for the decision to visit Lynn, Patrick and Lukas in Hawaii our plans were to spend quiet time ...... with occasional trips to Logan for the movies and sushi at Happy Sushi ....... and further afield to Salt Lake City for 'art' movies at the Broadway and dinner at Squatters.

    Sam visited and we even got view a Moose that had taken up 'residence' up close and personal.
