Today we drove from Montpelier, ID to St. George, UT on our way to the Grand Canyon. We saw some beautiful, rugged prairie land, lots of hills and gorgeous, rough cliffs, as we wended our way south, through Provo, UT, east of Salt Lake City, and south into St. George. We saw lots of cattle, sheep, and horses on the prairies. This is a short blog since all we did was drive. I did get a few shots of the passing ...
... bubbling pools, and other hot spots. We stopped at Norris Geyser Basin and were going to walk to Steamboat Geyser, but it started sleeting, so we decided to get in the car and head to Old Faithful.
We arrived at Old Faithful a half an hour before it was predicted to blow, so we stayed there, watched a movie about the park, and watched the geyser blow, taking lots of pictures. I took pictures from inside the visitor's center because it was raining ...
The day before we left on our trip it was a sad/happy day. Annie was turned in for a new Annie. Old Annie has been a great friend, but she had 55,077 miles on her. New Annie has just 1 mile on her! Wow, is new Annie nice. Instead of mowing the lawn like Laurie wanted - Annie needed 50 break-in miles on her, someone had to do it. Sixty miles later the lawn got mowed.
