Having walked back down to the car, we were all desperate for a wee so we headed to Grange duck pond to use the facilities (at an outrageous 20p each). I hasten to add, we used the public conveniences there not the pond!

Next we headed off to Silverdale (the long way!) for tea and cake at Hazelwood Farm ngs. Bit of a disappointment that the cakes were a little dry and the lady serving them was a tad menopausal but we battled through.

We leave our Southern location and start heading nort.h to our next destination. Wales is the target. With a few miles to travel today we travel mainly on the duel carriageway. The M5 takes us up to and along the Severn Estuary not crossing into Wales just yet. Took a 'steamer' to Lakeside and visited the Car Musuem. The Museum has some interesting cars, but nothing that cannot be seen elsewhere. The collection of motor cycles, however, is exceptional. Best feature of the museum is the Campbell display. Malcolm Campbell's Bluebird and K4 boat are on display as well as a rebuilt K7, which is the boat that Donald Campbell died in while trying to break the 300mph water speed record. Weather was ...

... barn where they had a marathon doing the same path in the opposite direction and had refreshments amongst snack bars. They were willing to feed me like their own. I got an orange energy drink, a few protein bars, and refilled my bladder pack that had emptied in the middle of the hell marsh :D
