An early start this morning and as usual we got an earlier train , which was boarding in 5 mins, so we arrived in Dover before we had left France.
The worst thing that struck us was the awful state of the English roads. The concrete M20 is diabolical. What on earth foreign visitors must think - its an awful welcome to the country.

Still haven't caught up. Oh well. On Monday we had a long drive down from the Leeds area to our next stay – at a farm at Rowland’s Castle, which is near Portsmouth at the very southern part of England. Most of our day was spent on the Motorways – Britain’s interstate highways. One nice thing is that they periodically have "Service" areas, a sort of rest area/truck stop, but with food, gas, ...

... when there, they had build-up celebrations and parties for The Feast if Corpus Christi and the street decorations and colours are magnificent. We met some great people on the tour and have swapped details with the Aussies so we can touch base with some of them in the future. Well, so far we have not had a decent beer since arriving in the UK. Nelson is #1 so far in terms of brewing capabilities. We arrived and were picked up by ...
