It has been a quick 6 weeks in Sheffield. My classes are split into two 6-week sessions per semester, while Avery has the same classes for 12 weeks. Thus, I have a bit of a free weekend as my first classes have concluded, while Avery is fervently writing papers in the midst of exams!

The day is here! I'm finally heading to the airport for my 12 week adventure. My first point of call is Melbourne to stop with Lauren but before that I have 20hrs in the air over 2 flights. I've cling film wrapped my bag, had breakfast in the form of a Greggs pasty (not quite the leaving breakfast we had planned but still good all the same), said goodbye to the parents and successfully made it though security without being searched for once. ... I found out that there is no taxi rank at Meadowhall train station. It meant I had to walk home, but at least I know now and can book a taxi when I return to the country.
Tomorrow, I leave at 6:30am making my way to Manchester to fly to Orlando. I've booked my seat and will be sat at the window so I can watch the ground crew and other activities on the airfield. Don't blame me, I'm an engineer.
