... then Nic's exhaust fell off 4 miles from home so she had to be rescued by her Dad!!!

Later we had a lovely drinks gathering with lots of old friends - the link being badminton which Nic and I played all through our years in Blyth. We had lots of laughs and it was a fantastic evening.

We woke reasonably early again today after we both slept like logs, we definitely needed a good nights sleep. ... stop we then went to Kay's where we will be staying for the next 5 months. It was only a brief introduction as we dropped off our luggage and went to the pub for lunch. The folk at the pub looked a bit rough but the meals weren't too bad and they were fairly cheap. After lunch we went back to Kay's to unpack our bags and get ourselves settled in. ... of a country pub with fantastic views out over the Rivelin Valley. We had a really nice meal in their restaurant - the best steak we have had in the UK - but decided not to stay on for Quiz Night! Being a rural pub, they had a great outdoor area with lots of tables and a big playground for kids...
