So after a little worrying that nothing would come through....they did. The catalyst being an e-mail via the British Burns Association. Once that was sent out I received a few offers of places to visit; Galveston (Texas) and New York. Phew!

Additionally, I had a message from the Chairman of the Katie Piper Foundation asking whether I would like to contribute to the charity's own journal named the 'Journal of Burns, Scars and Healing', which is an exciting prospect. ...

... to take us to the plane. We boarded and settled in for an eight hour flight. We watched films, listened to some music etc. Les managed to sleep for a while whilst I played solitaire and quiz games. We arrived at Heathrow on time, passed through immigration and collected our bags. Polly and Jemima had driven down to meet us, Polly expected us to be covered in dust! Bless her!
