People can visit the Weapon Museum located near Vlad Tepes's birthplace, probably the main attraction of the city. Other main attractions are a very old church on the hill and the cemetery with lots of Germans tombstones, a covered staircase made of wood, that leads up to the church and the cemetery on the hill and the bust of Vlad Tepes.

To give you an idea how a regular day of the Ludtjes looks like, we'll describe an ordinary Saturday.

We woke up at 6:30 am. Checked whether the sheep that had put us to bed were already awake (we were camping in their meadow, they were not awake yet) and then packed our tent.

We biked some ten kilometers, looked at one of the smaller fortified churches and then found a bench in the village to have breakfast.

... Not even some one-on-one time with Rafael Nadal could have enticed me to such stupidity! Want to know why?? Just watch the documentary, "the Grizzly Man," about Timothy Treadwell! At about 9:30, the light was fading fast and most of the bears had left so we took the hint and skedaddled.

It was a long journey back to my pension made pleasant by conversation with Dan (the Bear Man). I especially enjoyed the stories he told me about ...

Finally Leaving Romania

... but for the people we sat and drank with; a group of young Dutch people who go to Sigit every year, and 3 Australians who live near us in East Malvern. Small world. When we left at 2.00am we caught the train from the island on the Danube, back to Budapest, then a tram, and were home in an hour. Amazing efficiency and no chunderous, drunken behaviour the whole day.

... our hours and the macro projects we will be doing. Jan filled us in on the new professor in the Social Work department and how things have or will be changing. The only thing that is constant is change. It is still odd for me to think about life after this semester. Everything will be different. It's scary in some ways and exciting in others. It will be interesting to see where God leads me and how He teaches me new things.
