... as the sun slipped behind the imposing mountains over the bay. The waters shimmered gold as boats lazily sailed over the calm waters and the last people started to pack up their picnics and stroll off the beach until another day. It was idyllic.

... me was the women to make ratio, so single guys in Byron Bay would be happy with the statics and with all the backpackers wondering around the streets, there's no shortage of scenery!!! ;) As we arrived a little early we decided to head to the lighthouse for a look. ... and do some snorkelling. The water was extremely clear all the way out to sea which was cool as you could always peer down and see something! Now as we headed out to sea there were lots of pods of Dolphins, the instructors were shocked with how many were about so it seems we picked the perfect day! It was amazing to be kayaking up so close; and just sitting next to them as they came in closer. The best part was when a pod of dolphins were swimming next to us ...

So we arrived and managed to find the arts factory hostel we were booked in for the night. Was a cool hostel but a bit to hippy for us.
