Two hours drive from Byron, visiting the Surfers Paradise of the Gold Coast on the way, we gave back the car and caught our boat to Moreton Island for a one hour sail. Made is sand, the whole island is a nature reserve, filled with birds that demand to be heard and snakes that hide themselves away, thankfully. ... find out was a cougar bar (hence the various age ranges we saw, however at the time we didn't connect the dots). We danced, laughed, and then eventually called it a night. Surfers was off to a good start.

... I was glad when that was over as doing burpees in the sand is difficult. Next we arranged ourselves across the sand beside our boards. We learned how to climb on the board and the correct technique for standing up. I was feeling pretty confident as my technique in the sand was flawless. ... but whatever, in this case I wasn't judging. Maybe I was jealous..maybe that combined with the pie I ate on my way home. Who knows. We visited Wet 'n' Wild, Sea World and Movie World too!
