... worth all the sweat and hard work. We sat up the top for around half hour where our guid gave us boiled eggs cooked on the steam of the volcano, then the new mission started, to get back down! It was even harder than climbing up, we basically slid down the ash, we did our best to balance but safe to say I had a few trips on the way down... This morning we got up and went to our first buffet breakfast at the Bali Padma hotel. I got loads of food which filled me up for surfing. ... over, ermmm well turns out I'm going away with the bigger suitcase and mum is going home with only a handful of clothes. It was far too difficult to give them up!!!

... but the photo shoot was interrupted by distant shouts: 'krait, krait'. We were so exited that we dropped everything and ran towards Adrian from the centre who found the target species bungarus candidus. These deadly venomous snakes are rather smallish, slender and surprisingly calm. We again were extremely lucky to see this beauty and took plenty of photos.

Big Boss

... for a reality check when we get home! It seems to be the local custom to call the men boss. Clearly they have never met western women, or maybe they have and think that the men are on holidays, so we will let them fantasize that they are in charge for a little bit! Now it is back to Australia for Christmas in Sorrento, which is a little beach town a few hours outside of Melbourne. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas. Miss you all.
