... from the 1800s were kidnapped and impressed to work on ships turned out to be a hokey ghost tour in a series of underground connected basements. Worst $20 spent on a "history" lesson ever.

In other news, I met up with an old friend for dinner and drinks one night of the week and managed to escape Portland only $275 lighter (lodging included).

Total trip cost after two cities: $375.

... tried a sampling selection of six ales to accompany our burger. Nick then drove us up into the hills to Pittock Mansion, an early 20th century house built by the local newspaper proprietor.
