... chatted for most the morning and then wandered the craft shops once again. The Szabo's came for a visit from where they were staying in Cape Town, we had lunch at illy and went shopping again, this time we bought some knick knacks, chocolate and paintings. ... with us from Cape Town to Victoria Falls. We are the only Americans (we heard some good natured 'Bruce and Sheila" ribbing. I need to look that up!) 5 from Australia, 2 from Canada, 2 from Belgium, 2 from England, 2 from Switzerland...and us! Seems like great people who are so much better traveled than us, who would sign up for a camping trip through Africa and who are open and accepting for whatever is ahead. We have renewed energy for this next step!

... Saturday for the run. An early start saw us up having breakfast at 4:30am; a rude awakening after two weeks of late night drinks and long sleep ins. The Kane family eagerly drove us to the start next to the famous Newlands Stadium. Then we were off to the Cape of Good Hope via False Bay. The drive again was beautiful and the scenery breathtaking. Lots of clicking cameras! We had 30 minutes wandering at the actual Cape but not the time to walk the very steep path to the top. From there onto the bus and a short drive to the funicular and a ride to the top of Cape Point.
