We said goodbye to Joy yesterday evening which was a bit emotional. I can not wait to go myself right now. 11 Weeks and 3 days before I land in Rio. Not that I am counting!
I am yet again one step closer though: After booking the tickets, moving bedrooms, forever not trying to spend any money and Joy leaving already, I decided to tell work about my traveling plans. It was such a relief! Slowly but surely my time will come! Muahahaaa!
i was at my bowling ally with my family and this really hot walked past
he goes to my bowling club and i am always flirtting with him and we
always have a laugh. but i dont know how to tell him i like him and i dont
know how he will react. but i am not bothered that much even though i
am like in love with him. oh well
Today we went for a drive to Dartmoor, a seaside village at the mouth of the River Dart.
For lunch I had a pasty (I love Cornish Pasties!) and an English Toffee icecream with clotted cream - yum!
In the evening we drove back to Liskeard through Dartmouth National Park, which had some great views (hard to photograph though unfortunately) and we even nearly hit a wild horse which ran out in front of the car!
... the projects you work on. But the more I surfed, the worse it got. Travellers' tales of entire days lost following binges on "Happy pizza" in Phnom Penh, and the horrors of cold water bucket showers and hole-in-the-ground loos in Tamil Nadu, all but put us off completely.
Fortunately I stumbled upon a small charity called Globalteer, which supports community and wildlife projects in Colombia, Peru, Thailand and Cambodia. Totally ...

Cycled into Newton Abbot today to have a look in the shops, same shops ...
Left Art & Thurza's about 11.45 and after lunch at the Dartbridge Pub not far from Totnes we arrived at Wayne & Julia's new pad at about 3 pm.
Beautiful sunny drive across from Somerset and a warn welcome as usual from the Stonehams.
Julia has just finished a sequal to Muddy Boots and after proof reading ...
... there is know way of identifying the others.
There was no street lights outside our caravan or to the lane that run along side it, so all i saw was 2 fights going on outside my van and heard a lot of screaming, until i realised it was my children being beaten up. My eldest had 4 lads on top of him!!!!
The caravan we were staying in was discusting. The small rooms were mouldy and damp ...
I started writing on the plane:
"Just been reminded of Tom's pronounciation of 'Phuket' (read '****it'). Quite funny and it makes me giggle.
The actual start of the journey was a little bit of a nervous one. We sort of managed to get the departure time of our coach wrong and we left the house a little bit late. Shirls digged out her organisation skills and so we found out that the ...
... St. John. This is a reproduction but incorporates fragments of the old screen. An interesting feature of the nave is the base of an ancient stone pulpit approached by four granite steps and forming part of the pillar. The present pulpit is of oak and dates from the early 17th century. On the North wall is an alabaster monument to the memory of Sir Joshua Reynolds (1723-92), probably England's best known portrait painter. His father was the local schoolmaster and ...
