... to the Netherlands first goal was amazing and lifted our spirits. When it was 2-1 Australia, we even thought for a minute we had a chance to draw or even win! In the second half the weather turned. Luckily I had some foresight and got myself an over priced plastic poncho. The others were not so lucky and had within 15 sec were drenched. After Machu Pichu the plan was to head down to Bolivia and Lake Tikitaka. Ready to go, having booked accommodation and the bus, I find out that in 3 days time I had a flight from Lima to Sao Paolo. I only found out because I was at the air company's offices trying to actually plan a visit to Brasil a couple of months later.
Such flights costs around 800 euros and it seems I got it for free! Although the stress I went through those couple of days ...
