Bussimatka Chiang Daoon kesti vaan leppoisan 1.5 h. Kerrankin ei tarvinnut istua perse kipeenä puolta päivää. Bussimatkailu Thaimaassa on kyl jotenkin omaa luokkaansa. Mulla ei ainakaan koskaan ole mitään hajua mitä tapahtuu. Esimerkiksi tänne tullessa otin kyydin hostellilta bussiasemalle, joka oli tietty väärä. Eihän tämmönen pikkukaupungin poika …

... vacation. Songkran is Thai New Year, and one of their most important festivals. It is highly water focused, revolves mainly around the act of cleansing one’s self and others for the coming year, and also entails paying respect to Buddha. And, lucky for us, Chiang Mai is considered the country-wide center of the action! The entire old-city section of the city, including the roads along both sides of the moat, completely shut down – traffic is at a crawl, ...

Will and Gav had Vans on and tom had trainers, they were falling over every 6 steps to the point where Gav and Tom just accepted it. I helped Will up this hill as I had the best grip. We really were a team when it came to this part. We eventually made it ...

... them loudly over and over, and veered into the other lane. Eventually I got to the end of their territory, and they stopped. At Chiang Dao, I had an awesome lunch, and then went to check out the local cave down the road. There were lots of bats hanging out, crickets jumping around and spiders just sort of sitting there. Apparently there's cave snakes in there as well. We didn't see ...

It was one hell of a storm that ripped through Chiang Dao last night. Trees were toppled, power lines are down. Who you gonna call? Monk busters! It was an early start by our standards. Franki's first ever long distance ride and in searing heat. Negotiating out of Chiang Mai was a battle won. Out through the choked traffic to Mae Sai and onwards to Chiang Dao. We arrived four hours after setting off. Chiang Dao itself is a nondescript road ...
