... called them. The most concerning thing was that none of the rays had barbs. They had been removed from every single ray. In fact at least two of the rays had no tails at all. Very sad. Are rich overwater bungalow guests that scared? None of the rays from Moorea or Huahine were de-barbed. Interesting.

We continued round the lagoon so that we ended up somewhere off Motu Toopuaiti. I have a feeling we could see the ship but neither of us can ...

... and also I think the top of a turtle, albeit rather briefly. We flew back to Tahiti and have had to spend about ten hours or so waiting for our onward overnighter to Los Angeles. After another lovely fruitful breakfast we spent some time just enjoying the view from ...

... holes and I think the hotel is running at about 25% capacity. An introduction to Stingrays We borrowed Kayaks for a paddle about the lagoon...then lounged with cocktails on the lovely white sand watching some impressive hunters of the lagoon gently sweep along the waters edge. The numbers of large Stingrays continued to grow until we had about 15 or so milling which point the pool man appeared and waded amongst them. Some of ...

(Angela) Up for a relatively early breakfast, partook of the wonderful and best fruit selection I have ever seen at a hotel. Then it was to the airport for our short flight to an even smaller island. After touching down briefly on the island of Huahine we came in to Bora Bora, looking magnificent with its one mountain surrounded by the bluest of lagoons enclosed by a reef. After each of us being presented with a garland of gardenias the hotel's boat came to pick us ...
