Given it was lunchtime and we were hungry, we stopped to eat a quick snack on the edge of Central Park. Mum braved a hotdog, while I opted for a super sized pretzel.

After continuing on the Downtown loop to Times Square (where everyone was kicked off the bus), we walked across to 8th Avenue and joined the Uptown Loop.

... sup> 2001, would have been a complete mental overload. The unimaginable was taking place, right before your eyes. The horror of watching the events unfurl would be impossible to forget, and I guess they never will.
I’m not sure of exact dates, but I think most of the replacement low rise buildings (<50 stories) have been completed. The main building “One World Trade Centre” which is 104 stories tall is just about complete.

... unfortunately noticed the weird girl running after him and she sadly retreated. The stock exchange has a metal barrier round the entrance and has had this since 9/11. The reason is if the stock exchange was to get bombed, New York would be pretty f****d (excuse my French). I had the great idea of asking ash to take a picture of me trying the break the bars.
