... of Austria there was snow on the mountains.
There’s been a really cold spell here and we’re bundling up against the chill winds. The surrounding mountains are all getting more snow on the top, and the air is clean and fresh. Life would be beautiful to stay here in summer and Italy in winter, but I don’t know if that will be possible for me since it’s really difficult to get the right permits.
... in a hole in the ground. At some point guys will try to
climb the pole, and then some women dressed in typical area costume will dance
around the pole. We were lucky to have a sunny day. The next two days had some celebrations, but the weather didn't hold out so that was the end of that!
Yesterday we took a short drive to Gmund – a little city ...
... and if it leaks it will spoil the holiday for the people downstairs. We bought a washer and yesterday our friends tried to hook it up, but the hose broke and the stores all
closed at 2pm so now we'll have to wait until Tuesday. Hopefully the internet folks will come out
this week and get us setup.
I'm still on hold for my extended visa request ...
... pools, indoor and outdoor saunas at varying temperatures, showers, a bar, hot tubs, cold pools and lots of lounging areas. And naked people! So I guess Austrians like to bath naked. Once I realized this, I found a place to put leave my suit, and enjoyed the water. What I do find interesting, is that I find it much more embarrassing to be naked in front of people I know, rather than complete strangers. Probably because they are not going to remember me! ...
We are staying in Tamsweg for one night so there won't be much to say about this place!!
The hotel was beautiful... my room had traditional Tyrolean furniture which was so pretty! AND the bathroom had the biggest shower ever! 3 shower ...
