... s been collecting insects in the wildflower meadows and even set up a sort of primitive lab in the hotel room. I'm still keeping a scrapbook/journal and taking tons of pictures (but, really, you need IMAX to convey the scope and beauty of the scenery). Wish I could publish some photos in this blog, but it they would fail to convey the stunning scope of the scenery. Maybe The Sound of Music did it best...

From that small village, we took the only reasonable route up another 4400 feet to Jungfraujoch: the 100-year-old railway that winds through the interior of the mountain up to facilities that are set precariously in the col that separates the Jungfrau and Monch mountain peaks. There we were cast into windy, wintery conditions where snow and ice rule, even in summer months.
