The senior moment(s) lasted well and I suppose we could claim it was restful.

More rainy deluges through the night and the morning TV offered no respite from the inbound fronts! A casual "We could cut our losses and go home" was swiftly agreed on and after a remnants' breakfast we packed with unrecognisable fervour, ready to hit the rain-sodden road as quickly as possible. Now we were driven by the urgency of avoiding Friday night motorway chaos!

... The cottage is quite nice. Its an old house built with mud and straw. The cottage as it stands today is much bigger than it was in Annes day, her brothers extended it after they inherited the farm. But some of the rooms are original. The cottage was handed down though the Hathaway line to their last relative Mary Baker who passed away in 1899. Mary was the first tour guide in the house and she lived there until she passed. Today we went to Stratford Upon Avon, the town where Shakespeare was born.

Before we went there, we stopped into a town called Bourton on the Water. (another interesting town name). A lovely town with this little low creek running through the middle. Girls put their feet in and said it was freezing!
