... years old. It was actually very sad and I never want to own a caged bird.

  • The rest of the day was spent trying to find accommodation. We ended up in Tofino at a guest house which is like a B&b but without the breakfast. It's $110 for the night, Canadian dollars and it was just about the last vacant room in town! Tomorrow I'd like to have a look at the galleries that I saw but couldn't go into because we were on the accommodation hunt. It's a surfing place ...

    ... and had a small bit to eat; corn bruschetta and roasted summer squash, beer and wine. Two guys from a band called Prester John's Gone were playing unplugged; some Doc Watson, Townes van Zante with a sprinkling of fiddle tunes, Springsteen and Stones. Was a beautiful setting on the beach. Back home around 8.
