Day 32:

Day 31:
We woke up to torrential rains and soon discovered that Venezia isn't really designed to handle too much water! The roads began to flood and we were reminded of the monsoons in Mumbai.

Day 30:
Today is our last day in France and we decided to celebrate it with more leisure! We roamed the streets of old Nice and decided to sample a local delicacy - socca. Socca is actually just a crepe made from chickpea flour and I'm quite sure I've had a variation of this for breakfast in India.

... courses were better for all but Claibourne. The fish, while missing its head, was still entirely intact. Claibourne had to eat through the top half of the fish in order to pull the spine out, minding the tiny bones along the way. She was frantic about swallowing one. Thankfully the remainder of the meal went without any fanfare. After dinner, we found our way back to the hotel for a warm nights sleep.

... at the square within 20 minutes. We hauled our suitcases through the square and found our hotel again. As we expected, our room wasn't ready yet but they took our luggage for us and told us to return around 12:30.

We wandered the streets aimlessly checking out stores and such for an hour or two. We returned to a bakery we found the day before that was selling Halloween themed goodies. We both tried one of their cupcakes, but we weren't very impressed. ...
