... night there was a typhoon (the first or second ever to hit Davao - usually they happen in Manila) that passed through the western suburbs (we are on the north side) and then was followed by torrential rain. The whole course of the Davao river changed and some houses are now under 10 meters of water. More rain is predicted for tomorrow and we were discussing about the need to organise our own civil defense kits - which we have not done yet (still!)
