The trip to Trinidad was a bit over 4 hours – 6 in the bus apparently- for a distance of about 250km. The roads are good and for most of the way it was a 6 lane highway – 3 each way – and very little traffic. The share taxi dropped me at my ...

In the courtyard near where we were staying were two men splitting bamboo with a rather sharp machete, it looked very dangerous, but then health and safety here is a different story. We went back to the plaza step terraces for a ...

... I walk away. But I spill none, haha! Thwarted you, rock. Day 29: Ahh breakfast. My favourite meal of the day. We scoff perfectly sliced pineapple, papaya and guava, enjoy fried eggs with buns, and some banana and honey on bread, with fresh mango juice and amazing coffee. The honey in Cuba is like crack. Have I mentioned that? I'm wondering how I can smuggle it around with me. We decide to go to the beach this morning and want to hire bikes. We get sent around to three different ...
