... time, so that was a relief. We decided to book our train tickets for the next day at the auto serve machine only to be told there were no seats - this was not a day going well! Luckily the man at the desk found us another line, so we booked the next train in 3 days also as we will be traveling xmas eve and thinking it may be busy.

He mentioned that it was just one theory, but how different would the world have been if the Romans had found a better alternative to lead before it was too late?

... free when he heard I was going into the water! And so we did. We waited about an hour after the sun came out to let the water get a bit warm and then just dived in. The beach was far too pebbly so the best bet was to dive off the rocky edge right it. Oooooooooh it was crisp! Chilly too! But brilliant. ... a two hour tour and only covered 30% of the area. No matter where you turned, Mt. Vesuvius was always there. By the time we were done with this tour, we were tired and thirsty. We headed back to the ship where Tony handed us a bottle of Lemincello to take back to the States with us.

Well following advice from Skinny (aka Adam Phillips) we undertook this, what I can truly say, is an amazing walk. Suse and I have undertaken the walk on the Napoli coast on Kauai, and pound for pound this is up there.
