Next stop: Rome

We visited Florence on an overcast, cold day – I don’t think it was at its prime. I would very much like to re-visit Florence. Lucky I put my hand in the boar’s mouth!

When in Florence:
Climb Giotto’s Bell Tower
Visit museums in Medici Palace
Stop in to the Basilica Santa Croce, nicknamed the Temple of Italian Glories due to the number of Italian maestros buried there.

I've always wanted to go on the really fast train; it was a fun experience. We made it to Florence and then had an amazing birthday dinner at the best restaurant of the trip, the food and service were impeccable. The waiters brought Prosecco for Mommom and Poppop's anniversary and tiramisu for my birthday and sang ...
