... us to her usual Tuesday night place and introduced us to a beer called Dragoons, its basically Guinness x 5. Super dark beer. The place was fun though and they serve you lollipops with your Dragoon. After that was a night club that we were at for about an hour but had to leave because we had to catch a 3 am bus to Pisa airport. Saying bye to Taylor was sad because I didn't know when I would see her again. also...3am busses are not my friend. ...

... 30 years then added 3 more levels. In all it took 130 years to complete. The tower was closed for 10 years while they reinforced it and its now good for the next 300 years. As we didn't have our scarfs on us ...

... got to walk around the underside of the dome looking down inside the cathedral itself. While catching our breath at the top we overlooked stunning early morning views out over Florence. The terracotta roofs stretched as far as we could see until they met the receding fog that morning. Moving much quicker down than we had moved up we reached the bottom. Feeling the effects of our long holiday and lack of exercise, I managed to convince Jono to climb the slightly less 350 steps ...

... to get stuck into their wine. Unfortunately their wine is near undrinkable. It is borderline vinegar. The corks in the bottles were pulled before we sat down, and inspection of the cork reveals no cork screw marks, or staining from the red wine. We suspect they are refilling and semi - corking bottles. There are a few others in the group who show the same distaste to the wine, although some lesser educated budget back packers are greedily getting stuck ...
