... nice view over the city and then proceeded to dinner. We did manage to get a table at 4 Leoni even though they were very busy and I had my first taste of white truffles! Can't say that I was all that enthralled but at least now I can say I've tried them. A stroll through the city streets and it's off to rest ready for a big day ...

We started and finished our last day in Florence with museums. Lots and lots of museums. It was a bunch of art museums. We first started with the Academia to see Michael Angelo's David and a bunch more sculptures by Michael Angelo. His work is absolutely breathtaking. The David 's head and hands are out of proportion with the rest of his body because it was meant to be seen from the top of the church, which he would be seen as perfect. ... I navigated us to a street near Pisa town square and we walked the half mile to see the leaning tower of Piza. My goal was just to see the tower so we did not buy tickets to climb it, but maybe another trip. It was more impressive than I thought. It is only one of many leaning structures in the square. They all actually lean, but the tower is the most obvious.
