... as we walk around the shops. I am loving all the clothing and lace in the shops and make Craig a bit crazy with all my "shopping". I can't decide on anything. We sit at a corner cafe for a glass of wine & a beer while I think about it. I finish my wine first & leave Craig to settle up while I take one more look at the shops. Craig finds me and makes a decision - we are bringing home a gorgeous new tablecloth.

A slow start to the morning but we somehow worked out which vaporetto we needed to catch for the trip out to Burano the island famous for its lacemaking and pretty colourful houses and we discovered it has it's own leaning tower! ... and walked round the corner to get a few pics of the bridge they took prisoners over, and then wandered down the waterfront to another public garden where we had another wee rest and read. We decided it was then time to head to the pasta place we'd read about for dinner, a small shop not far away where they do fresh take-away pasta. ... sat by a fountain. Cheap and cheerful and delicious pasta. We had a gelato then. Best ice-cream ever! We made our way to St Marks Square. We took in the atmosphere and watched the world go by. It's expensive to have a coffee or a drink there so we said we'd wait until we were back on the normal priced streets. After that we went on a gondola ride. Around 80euros a half hour but a one ...

... I told him i wanted to go on my own and he was like no no i will take you to lunch. I didn't know what to say or do. Then he tells me that he will take my phone to get fixed for free since the screen is cracked…..i finally was like no, it works fine and i want to go on my own. I think he got the hint. The next morning i got up and he ended up with the flu…..THANK GOD!!! I seriously think he was looking out for me! lol. Anyways….i headed to Venice…ALONE! :)
