... Seats together this time.. I am thankful that all the later trains were booked as we really weren't up to spending more time in Venice with such bad weather...
We also picked up a few final little gifts..
At hotel we dry off and start the delicate process of ensuring all the luggage is within the weight limits... I start out with the lightest suitcase but end up the heaviest!.. With our taxi booked for 7:45 am timor. we head off to bed.

On our secondly day in Venice we went exploring. We walked around and around discovering the hidden beauty of this historic city. Our apartment is located away from the tourist area so it is lovely and quite, when we ventured to the Rialto Bridge and St Mark's square it was totally packed.

... have it golden. Woo. Before we fell asleep, we swiftly moved on to the next attraction. We climbed the innsbruck city tower. Not the biggest tower ever built, but still had a good view over the city when we got to the top. There was approx 280 stairs to climb to reach the top! After feeling like we'd accomplished all we had set out to, we then went for a final wanter round innsbruck, chilled in a cafe for half an hour then headed on our way ...

... domes? It looks impressive from above as we found out when we went up the Bell Tower. In fact, it looks impressive from every angle and because it was believed to be the final resting place of Mark the Evangelist, the building was continuously embellished for centuries with subsequent rulers adding mosaics, marble name it, they added it!

I am skipping over Vicenza for now considering the past few days have seemed like a week. As we left Vicenza, we were welcomed by unfavorable weather and flood sirens. It didn't slow us down and the thought of seeing Venice under water was thrilling to say the least! We were not disappointed.
