... we were seated one of the QF staff members asked if we would like to have a massage or facial, they had two vacancies left. Andrew was going to meet our accountant who was flying to Bali, in the business class lounge to say hi, so I took the massage appointment.

The spa was lovely decorated with a wall of greenery, very lush and elegant. I was taken through to my room and spent the next half hour with a very pleasant massage.

No sooner had I gotten dressed ...

Some of his stories about growing up in LA, running with the Hell's Angels and his time as junkie in San Fran were pretty scary and unbelievable so I'm not sure how much was true, but they were at least very interesting. Anyway he's a lovely guy who also asked me to get in touch when I arrived in Brazil. So I may well just do that - but I can tell you I'll be staying well clear of his daughters! ;)

... said it should be there tomorrow, hopefully. I walked to a convenience store to pick up a six pack, I figure its going to be a long time before I have a Blue Moon again. Also I ordered a stuffed crust pizza, which should be here soon. I need all the American food I can get, 11 months is long time to go without Pizza Hut. Tomorrow I think I'll go to the beach and maybe see that new Adam Sandler movie. I have to be at the airport at 8:30pm for ...

... after picking up the hire car later that afternoon we called at The Farmers market/grove and then went to check out Hollywood and the streets lined with stars! It was good to see the local LA entrepeneurs were out in force selling MJ hats, t-shirts, badges and there was a 3 hour queue to have your photo taken next to his star.

- Decided that we couldn’t make it back to look at stars and handprints on Hollywood Blvd. Too tired and Bri had pretty much had enough of the star business.
- Came back to the house and continually talked about how much we like this place. Turning in early to prepare for our big day tomorrow.

... watched Border security too much and thought i'd have to show them everything :) We have been staying at the Radisson hotel, which apparently Little Miss Sunshine used to film in, but i can't remember. Its a nice hotel. I roomed with an Aussie girl and New Zealand girl so they are nice to hang with. But there's many people i've met since i got here so its been good. ... a soccer match. I've been fortunate enough to do both and had the best time of my life. Watching Spain vs. Sweden in Real Madrid stadium was a lifetime experience and riding the Switz mountain was about as good as it'll ever get. But I can say the same for this whole trip. I asked Ben if he would stay with me another 50 minutes to allow me to live out my Hollywood dream, but he said no because he wanted to sleep in the hotel room, and I no longer relished the idea of staying there by myself and then later taking an 1 1/2+ hour subway and bus ride back to the hotel. So, we stayed a bit longer, and, regrettfully, left 45 minutes before the action, leaving with nothing but a few photos of the scene ...
