Day 10: Florence
... and the writer of the Divine Comedy. Come ON!! I geeked out a bit. Not to mention, the cathedral itself was stunning, as we the cloisters and courtyard outside. We headed back to the apartment and Mom cooked us a fantastic pot roast with potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, onions, and a salad. After a nice train journey we arrived in Florence, a beautiful city that is much less hectic and crazy than Naples. Our little itinerary had marked out Thursday for a visit to Florence. However, the heat was giving us a few challenges, so we decided not to aim to arrive until mid-afternoon.
