Slept badly last night worrying about our flight connection in Havana today. We have 4.5 hrs turn around but last night Ely told us that the last time she did this tour the Aero Caribbean plane was 7 hrs late, no wonder they recommend not leaving Havana on the same day. Ian wore his lucky green shirt and after having a quick breakfast we left the spectacular Hotel El Castillo and did the quick trip around the bay to Baracoa airport. We could see the runway ...

Late afternoon we returned to the hotel for our final few hours here. A heavy rain shower came through so I'm writing this blog before we go our for our special seafood dinner. Baracoa has excellent seafood we are told and certainly last nights fish was good even though we had no idea what it was.

As it was Christmas day, we agreed to have a group meal that night at ...

... hassled in the street. They always get someone approaching them - being blond and young isn't always an advantage! We have decided to stay in town so James can go to the colonial restaurant for dinner - Santa Barbara lobster on Ed's recommendation - and also have a bit of a rest. Antibiotics not as good as previous ones so taking a while to kick in. Have just waved our new family off on their adventure and I am enjoying the 7 year old Ron with some crackers before we venture ...

... so it is hardly impossible to not meet someone. A funny evening with many wicked stories which I never really figured out. What happens in Cuba, stays in Cuba.
