... right?! I've tried doing my laundry but my last hostel didn't have it and this one says I can only do it tomorrow after 10 am. Oh the struggles of being a backpacker. Ha! Gotta love it. I'll be heading to bed early tonight so I have enough energy to explore Brugge tomorrow! (Mom would be so proud.) -By the way, the mussels and fries were so delicious! It was so much food for only 10 euro, I couldn't even finish all of my fries! I guess that's a good thing though, ...

I got to know lots of people from lots of places at the hostel many of which have been to nz, one of the staff had just got back from 3months in nz and was already trying to figure out how to get back.But ive realised I havent seen a kiwi that lives in nz since Anzac day, loads of aussies but no kiwis. prior to going to belgium I knew it was famous for beer and chocolate but id forgotten about belgium ...

... by the river we were back at our hostel.. caught the bus to the train station and then waited for 45 minutes to enter a ice sculpture spectacle based on Disney characters which was like bloody amazing but -6 degrees (reminded me a lot of Mongolia...)

Then we caught the train home- got kicked out of first class... got on the plane and had a whole row to myself... and then we were back in London... and our amazing Christmas exertion to Bruges had come to an end.

... was another disastrous Bruxellois tram experience, if only because there seemed to be no organization whatsoever. Switzerland Brussels is not. That said, I’d return to Bruges a little later if I get another chance. Even today, it was wall-to-wall people, and with everything set up in the Grote Markt, it was hard to actually see the Markt. I also need to get some recommendations on ice cream and chocolate places to visit there from a colleague - the feeding will never ...
