... stay in Punta Cana since it is an area lined with all inclusive resorts. Very reminiscent of Nusa Dua, Bali in Indonesia, these can be nice for families as they cater to all ages and keep the kids busy while mom and dad relax on the beach, but it's really not my style. I like small, boutique guest houses so I set my sights on the nicest beach north of Punta Cana: Playa Limon.

Hello from the Caribbean Sea. Tonight we are sailing south south west towards Bonaire.

Today we visited Samana, Dominican Republic. The bay where this city is located is shallow, so there is no dock. The Noordam anchored well away from the city, to avoid the shallow water. Tenders were used today. The water was not as rough today as it was at Half Moon Cay, so getting on and off the tender was much easier.
