... until the paramedics left empty handed, the jet fire boat left and the last two boats, polizia and fire boat stayed longer but we think they were ************...A small boat left pulling another small boat and there were about 6 people in that first boat.
All that in one day! So eventful! We headed to bed knowing we had to be off the boat by 9:00.
Will catch-up tomorrow in Barcelona for the second half of our adventure!

We found a little cafe in one of these alleys and enjoyed delicious Italian pizza, lemon soda and espresso for lunch in the pleasant shade for before continuing on.

... Nope, it was much worse, possibly a multi car crash further ahead which saw us sitting in traffic for well over two hours. Nevertheless my good mood evaporated and I started to wonder if my birthday would be spent on the bus for the entire day. Not a great 36th birthday at all!! Luckily they cleared off the block ahead and allowed traffic to exit off the next ramp and Francesco took us via a diversion onto the same highway just much further away.
