... This is where all the glass factories and workshops are and there is just store after store of Murano glass items. Some are better than others, but we did find some stuff that we liked. Nothing for under 1000 euros though so we didn't buy anything. Everything was so expensive! But it did serve to give us the WIFI password for the cafe, which we would need to use in our apartment above ;) We were met promptly by Carlo, the owner of the apartment, who showed us in. The apartment was great, with a kitchen, tiny balcony, washing machine and comfy sofa. The shower was a clever installation - you just stood at the entrance to the bathroom and pulled 2 shower doors around either side of you, strange but it worked! Itching to get out ...

... to our hotel. Went into the Basilica easily, walked around and went upstairs to the museum and the loggia. Got a great view of Piazza San Marco with its crowds, fancy restaurants with bands and people out having a good time.
