Tour of a dramatic gorge
This morning we went on a guided tour of the Quebrada de Cafayate, a gorge also known as Río de las Conchas. Here are dramatic colourful rock formations, fashioned by millenia of wind and rain. It is beautiful and scenic but for some reason neither of us were really that psyched about it. Wine tasting - the first of many!

Change of plans...big drive
... but it certainly worked for us! I wish we had gotten to hang out with the kids more. Mike was still dealing with his illness...so after walking around for a few minutes trying to find a restaurant from our guidebook that didn't exist, we decided on El Rancho, a busy restaurant right off the plaza. We both had chicken and I had mashed squash, mike had mashed potatoes.... He choked down as much as he could. I enjoyed a mini pitcher of red wine for 3 ...
