Arrived at Shore Hills Campground today. Made reservations here based on a Motorhome magazine recommendation which, as we discovered, can be a crapshoot. We had a riverside site but a lot of it was blocked by large trees. Oh well..... Went into town which looked like a mini Kennebunkport and certainly not as crowded. ... watched the parade of boats flowing past us, glistening under brilliant sun drenched skies. After a walk in the historic port village, we visited the Starlight Cafe for take out sandwiches. A perfect waterfront picnic spot was just paces away from the cafe.

Today was a calm day all around. Didn't check the tidal chart, so when I took Maeve out at 8:30, and saw the tide was in, I thought, I'll just have a bite of breakfast and then take Maeve for a swim. By the time I did that, the water had disappeared out at least 100 metres!! Silly me! So, I read, hung out for a bit, and Pam said she'd walk out on the tidal flats with Maeve. I was preparing ...
