... Back on the boat & struck off again. What a beautiful afternoon we had!! A bit of a queue at the two locks we had to do. We managed to make it to our final destination at bridge #19 Poachers Pocket Pub by 8:00 pm. Had a great supper & visited with a local couple. We'll stroll back to our boat & to bed by 10:00 pm. Weather warm, travellers intrepid. After breakfast we checked out and went for a short walk along the canal while watching barges tying up into the Chester walled township. This has in various incarnations been a Roman fort, medieval town, fortress against the Danes, Royalist stronghold and seat of the Duke of Westminster.
