... of French soldiers were present tonight and played a minor role during the service. Each night has been different but very moving on every occasion. I am pleased we left our warm room to attend this service each of the three nights we have been in Ieper. Ate at a cafe across the square from Old Tom. Made the mistake of having soup and a main meal and so could not finish our dishes. Had a pleasant chat with three English ladies and then headed for the hotel about 22.15. De chocolates y chelas belgas
... hemos recorrido 7 países, más de 15 ciudades, y el otro día pensábamos en cuántos kilómetros hemos caminado...no lo sabemos con certeza, pero creemos que vamos en los tres maratones (120 km).
Los últimos 5 días de esta aventura estaremos en París, otra gran ciudad con mucho para ver y conocer. No quedan muchas pilas, estamos cansados, pero dejar París para el último también tiene su qué: aunque estés muerto del cansancio, te comen las ganas por llegar ahi :).

The two creepy boys (I expect they are lovely but they clearly spend a lot of time in this dark, slightly dated hotel) were at the back door of the hotel when we unloaded and just stared at me for a bit before walking off.
