... a meal in the Happy Days which I can only describe as New Zealand's equivalent to China China. The weather was quite good this afternoon with a lot of sunshine with light broken cloud; the barman in the pub we stopped at reckoned the weather was about to change in the next few days with lots of sunshine; Typical as we are going home tomorrow!!!

... they are known and then announced over the speaker that i better have a good look myself as thats as close as i was getting to a shag out here haha cheeky *******! Yer so everyone found that hilarious at my expense but gotta admit that Karl is a funny guy. We listened to a few songs from 'Flight of the Conchords' which was absoloutely hilarious (i know so of you have heard of them).
Me and Rhys and a few others decided to go on a fishing boat for a few hours today. As i said before ...
... am thinking of dropping my German class. I really like it, and already know almost everyone's name, but I took German 2 years ago where as most of the students took German no less than 3 weeks ago, so I am very behind. My Finance class is difficult and I'm excited for my Maori class, because Robert and two of my closer friends that I've made here in NZ, Hannah and Kelly, are in the same class (all by coincidence!). So far I really enjoy ...
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand theeyesoftexas... next generation at that. We enjoyed our evenings together, with Matt and I making improve meals, having cheese and wine, and laughing a lot. Matt was full time in school, and Kelley with the baby, so I took off in their van a couple days in a row and explored the area. It was my first time driving a right side mounted vehicle on the left side of the road. I managed well, except for the damn turn signals being on the opposite side. Hit the wiper ...
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand tstiles... of the water and got absolutely soaked through and spent the rest of the trip in wet jeans (all fun though). I would have loved to have taken a helicopter trip over the sounds to get a full appreciation of the size of the nature reserve but unfotunately we didnīt have time and we set off on the long trip to Queenstown. We actually made it to QT in good time so we had a walk around the town and got some food for a barby and some beers. QT is a cool place where you can ...
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand jessjamie... Wellington boots!! Suzanna and I, along with one of the guides, then had to hot foot it over some fields to catch up with the others at the entry point. You know, it's only just dawned on me how ridiculous we must have looked running across those fields! From there, we checked our head lamps were working and then headed down into the caves. It started with us being surrounded by stalactites and stalagmites, with us standing in the river, a trickle at this stage. After a quick check ...
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand tobszanni... Then I had a cheeseburger at the internet cafe I had been at this morning. Then I was back on the road headed for Auckland. I wanted to get through the mountains before dark. The sun was just setting as I came through the last of the mountain passes and crossed the one lane bridge leading from the Coromandel Penninsula back towards the highway. I made it back to Aukland at about 9:30 pm and hit the sack. Tomorrow I have a lot of driving to do.
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand pecten56... there. I am doing mainly occupational therapy but will also be acting as a teaching aide, and might set up some music therapy. So I've got an exciting month ahead, I want to make the most of my time at Waitakere, but I also need to make sure that my days off and some evenings are productive so that I get to see as much of the city as I can as there seems to be masses to do!!!
Auckland, North Island, New Zealand tess.johnson... American just because he didn't like
Obama's middle name- besides that he was actually a nice guy to talk to
but he swore a LOT and the biggest coincidence was that he was visiting
Canada for his sister's wedding on 8/8/08 too! His feet also stunk,
which didn't help the restlessness, but then I found ...
... anyway so we cruised all the way through Auckland (in rush hour . . . million people . . .baaaaddd). But we finally made it just south of the city to a suburb called Manutau, where we are staying the night at another of our now favorite camping chain. This one is much more cramped but 15 bucks each a night with clean showers and internet is always good. Tommorow we are off to Coromandel. Talk to you soon!
