... While running to the train station, we passed by another beach which had clearer waters and nicer view!!! The rest were a little disappointed that they entered the wrong beach, but nonetheless the view is amazing (: after we reach la spezia, we were pretty happy that we have made it back in time for our next train from la spezia to florence. We steadily collected our baggage and tried to find the right platform to our next destination. However, the train system in ...

Today was our second day in Cinque Terre and we started the day with a hike from the third town (Corniglia) to the fourth town (Vernazza). Like the day before it was a difficult, hilly hike and took about 1 1/2 hours. When we arrived at Vernazza we grabbed some pizza and hung out at a nearby beach for a while. Eventually the train arrived and we got on board, praying it was going to stop in Vernazza. We found a monitor which showed it was, and breathed a big sigh of relief. We ...

... balcony or window. There was a small street of shops, a butcher, post office, two fruit shops and a tiny grocery store. Locals were out doing their shopping, having coffee. Everyone was saying hello or "ciao" as they passed. Smiles were everywhere and there was a very friendly atmosphere. These towns are filled with tourists in the summer so it was really lovely to see it quite empty with locals about. There were some tourists around and we were hearing a lot more English ...
