... We roamed around for awhile, climbing up some of the back streets for a view down over the town and the giant statue (it's big yes, but is actually, literally a statue of a giant), then jumped back on the Sardine Express and went to the other end of the Cinque Terre to visit Riomaggiore.

... crowded, people shoulder to shoulder. Similar to what I image as the locust have landed. And this is shoulder season.

The hike from Vernazza to Monterosso was wonderful, speculator. Mediterranean views, challenging in areas, perfection. I loved the hike! I can now cross this off my bucket list. ... Morra was the closest - 2 kms away. It was dominated by a church and a large bell tower. We found a parking place, called into the tourist bureau, got maps and headed into the village for a walk.
