      ... being such hard work. Still it was fun and the lunch was amazing. Prosciutto, sausage, cheese, fennel, garlic bread soaked in oil, wine, a Pinenut torte for dessert, and sweet caffe. (See pictures.)

      For dinner we went to Manzi, a nearby town, for pizza with Giovanni, Rosetta, Silvia, and Sergio. There was lively conversation, I assume. If I keep coming back, I really have to leave the language.

      ... ll see cars, trucks and busses straddling two lanes. The worst part is when they move across lanes with no warning just as you’re passing them. I would have taken some pictures of it happening just in front of us, but I’ve usually either got my eyes closed or I’m trying frantically to work out how to slow down quickly without the idiot in a BMW who is only 2 metres off my rear bumper from ending up in our back seat.
