A few things on my Belgium bucket list were:

      Drink a Belgian beer
      Eat a Belgian waffle
      Eat Belgian chocolate
      Visit a lace shop

Only thirty nine euros. Had dinner in a restaurant ...

... we could find. And excitedly discovered that the price of a beer is easily at least half what it cost in Nice! We took out our map to plan our next route- mum had recommended to try find a nunnery that she had been to. We put a cross on the map, as she had found it hard to find. Turns out we found it harder to find a local public WC! The nunnery was very picturesque, and we even saw a nun on a bicycle. We had booked a table at ...

On eastward tomorrow, probably as far as Hannover.

      May 11: Bochum und Bodenwerder

A longish drive today, eastward through southern Netherlands and into Germany. We stopped mid-day in the town of Bochum which has a "Reimo" shop. Reimo is one ...
