... olive shop because Jen loves Spanish olives. I can hardly describe how cool it was to have my American family come to visit me and to meet my Spanish family of the last 5 weeks. Everyone got along so well, conversations and activities were so much fun, and it was a very unique experience for all of us.

These first two days actually in Spain have been wonderful! So much has happened already and there is so much left to do as well. Yesterday (Lunes) Marta (host mom) and I walked the children to school, she went to work, and I stayed to go on a field trip with Lorenzo's class. I met a few of Marta’s friends, got a coffee, and went off to the field trip to see the horses, learn about how they are taken care of, and Lorenzo got to ride ...

... the trip but returned this year to try again. Finally there is a German man, Steffan, who is hiking alone but plans to meet up with his mother at a pre-determined place and time. Steffan has learned that he can walk much faster and farther than he anticipated (Ah, youth!) so he is trying to slow down by many sightseeing side trips so that he will not arrive at the meeting place with days to spare. There is a customary greeting "Buen Camino" ...
