Another quiet day in Venice

Day 8
... buildings running down 3 sides and San Marco cathedral at th end. The square would be 100m across and 200m long and is just jammed. the queue to get into San Marco cathedral is about an hour long. Walking around you can here 10-12 differant languages being spoken. Mimi gave us an hour and a half free time so we wandereed off and found a nice little Panini ( sandwich) Cafe. All the alleyways leading off San Marco Palazzo are only 2-3m wide. Mosquitos, bancos y cambios de programa
... sí, era la mejor opción para salir de Italia, tendríamos que adelantar nuestra llegada a la capital inglesa…ya veríamos a dónde iríamos después, pero teníamos que salir de ahí pronto. Así que eso fue lo que hicimos…volamos hacia Londres justo el día antes de la clausura de las Olimpiadas, después de todo, sí estaríamos en Londres 2012 y más encima para ver el Maratón. ¿Cómo es que dice el dicho?…ah sí….No hay mal que por bien no venga :).

The Classic Water City
Next on the must-see list of Italy was Venice. For pure wow factor alone, this may be one of my all time favorite cities. The island portion of Venice is truly fascinating with no motor vehicles or really even bicycles, because anything with wheels would need to navigate a veritable maze of waterways, bridges, and stairs.
