... have an oyster picnic while you watch for whales heading to warmer northern waters. As you can see from the photos, we were having a great time picnicing, drinking, and Yes, we did see whale spouts far out into the sea - it was a terrific beach day topped off with a farmers market meal, and plenty of Australian wine. Yes, it is going to be hard to leave - this vacation has really let me play tourist to my heart's content, and with a native Australian guide to interpret!

... head and I knew that this was the attempt where I was going to get to my feet! I managed to stand up on my board 3 or 4 times and was so proud of myself. It was really fun and totally knackering! After 3 hours on the water we were ready for a beer or 2 so we headed into town as the sun was getting out a bit. We spent the rest of the afternoon in a beach side beer garden.

This morning we received a txt message the sea kayaking is cancelled due to bad weather and dangerous seas. No dolphin spotting today! We instead went on a second bike ride around the bay with various downpours of rain. We rode to the pass to watch the surf. The surfers were amazingly talented taking the waves by storm. ... to Nimbin to see what it was all about; turns out the whole town is pretty much exclusively about weed, I got offered it about 4 times in the first 2 minutes of being there and then all day!
