Well it's the first day being temporarily unemployed. Feels weird knowing I won't be going back to the hospital to work. Got a lot accomplished. My passport arrived finally. We got the hitch installed and the trailer reserved. We got to spend the morning with sweet friends and their 12 horses and numerous cats. Had a blast feeding carrots and apples to the horses. I'm sure going to miss these wonderful ...

    ... to go 3-4 blocks.

Wonderworks - we got $2/pp off coupons in a book at the cabin. Worked out to $78 for 2 adults, 2 kids after the discount. We were there from 1ish to 4 then left for dinner. Then back at 6 until 10:30 and did everything. Super busy on the Sat afternoon but very relaxed after 6pm although lines for ropes stayed long all day. We got in line for the ropes course at 9pm and it was ...

... and the swim very pleasant.

Thao was terrified of the rope swing but finally ended up jumping off it. Mika and Matt both also mustered up the courage to jump. What a hoot!

Our lazy day ended up to be pretty exciting!

Then, we finished up with the bonfire to end all bonfires! We thought the first night's fire was big. Then the 2nd night, the fire was ...

Day 2: Super duper wild tube ride

A travel blog entry by elainesj on Jul 13, 2014

Day 2: Tubing with Gator Tubes at Deep Creek. $3/tube

Gator Tubes is one of the first rental places u see on the road to Deep Creek. Run by a retired probation officer, they charmed us with their warm Southern hospitality. Lifejackets for the 2 little ones were an extra $5 each. They tied the tubes on top of our van and off we went!

It was a pretty long hike (10-15 min hike carrying our ...
