Well,Tom has done the main observations of NZ so I thought I would add a few of my own and also give you a bit of a language glossary!

... but which we knew was heralding the onset of wet. It did.

Heading westwards through central Wales we drove down the valleys, with the certain knowledge that there were large mountains on both sides of us, even if we couldn't see them. The clouds sank lower and lower to meet us, so that by the time we drove through Y Fenni (or Abergavenny to normal folk) it was almost like driving though a thin layer of candyfloss.

... and stopped for coffee at Ludlow on the way to Wales. Although it rained all the way it was a lovely drive through rural England and Wales. The fields ultra green and lush and the Welsh hills dotted with Welsh lamb. I feel lamb could be on the menu tonight. We have now arrived in Llanwytrd Wells and our accommodation at Cerdwyn Villa. We are surprised by the smallness of the room. Nowhere to put a suitcase and hardly anywhere to turn around. ...
