... waiting to welcome us with nurses & a photographer. I enjoyed having my photo taken with a Sarcoma nurse standing up on the back of Lyndsey's bike.
They suggested a good place to go for lunch round the corner, and we parked the bikes up at the restaurant. We were fended off by the manageress before we even got to the door who only begrudginly let us in when she was told of my VIP ...
I had to move hotels since the main one was fully book on this night.
So, it was over to the Lamphey Court Hotel - an old mansion that was converted. Not the same as the spa hotel in Saundersfoot, but this one does have an indoor pool.
It was an adventure trying to get here. With all the rain, the roads were flooding. If it weren't for TomTom, I'm not sure I would have found the 4th way to get to the hotel. And I still had to drive through standing water.
Back at the St. Brides Spa Hotel in Saundersfoot.
Unfortunately, winter doesn't make this the best place to stay. It's dark when you are at the hotel, so you don't get the views. And the spa doesn't stay open late enough in the winter. At least I will get to enjoy it over the weekend.
And the walk along the coast - kind of scary in the dark. But you do get to see a bunch of stars and parts of the Milky Way because there isn't much light pollution out here.
... it apparently sprung up on the spot where St David was born.
We are now in Fishgaurd, one of the ports along the west coast of Wales. We're staying in a hostel run by a bit of a local legend, he went off backpacking and didn't return for 20 years - apparently has done and seen it all, even was a taxi driver in mexico for a while! Evidently Fishguard is known at the last village in Great ...
... around Dharamsala. I also feel drawn to Nepal and I've found a monastery there that will house me for a week so who knows. They say if you want to make God laugh tell him your plans. So I'm keeping stum. anyway God doesn't exist does s/he?
Once when being interviewed for a job I was asked .
" If your friends were to describe you who would they say you resembled? This wont count as part of the interview " (liars)

A pretty well preserved castle.
One of the main towers was closed for some work, so I didn't get to climb everything. And the other tower is reserved for bats.
Did have an interesting little chapel.
Good views of the castle across the water.
Woke up to blue skies after a beautiful sleep of about 12 hours this morning.
We hit the Pembrokeshire coastal path first thing - we were both in awe of how beautiful it was - God is such an amazing artist. I think too, when you're cramped in the city for a long time, you appreciate it all the more. So yeah, it was beautiful, where we started was this mill that had been in operation ...
Down to Wales on the fast train two and half hours. Excellent. Met up with family after some 13 years, it was lovely. Lots to talk about and lots to see and of course I just 'had' to hit the motorway on a rather large motobike owned by my nephew. Family live in a small historical town of Carmarthen, yes it has its own castle. But then Wales is littered with ancient castle ruins and fantastic 'spooky' history. It's a veritable paradise for those ...
Carmarthen, Wales, United Kingdom wendyhallToday we moved into our rooms in Myrddin. They are very nice. I finally got to unpack everything. I am in 12C- on the first floor. There are 8 rooms: 4 on top, 4 on bottom. On my floor, there is a shower and toilet. Upstairs there is a tub, toilet, and a kitchen (sort-of). Christa, Nicki, Jess, Beatrice, SA, Allison, Ellie and I all live ...
Carmarthen, Wales, United Kingdom jolding21... later train. After a 20 minute ride, we were in Newport. Kelly and Denise were waiting for us in the station. We loaded our bags into their car and started heading toward the west coast of Wales.
Our first stop was the Roman ruins at Caerleon. Before this visit, my exposure to Roman ruins had been limited to the walls of the basilica that exist under York Minster. As a result, I've never quite developed a true appreciation for the ...
